Sorry folks, it's me again :
Bare with me (no not you Ral !!)
Can anyone recommend a stand alone shower system? One that you can stick in a bucket, plug into the leccy and together with a mix of hot and cool water do the business. Since our hot system died we have been using king sized wet wipes for doing our vitals, but I've found a submersible dooin's in amongst my shed gubbins that shifts rather a lot of water using 12 volts, so daft old me thunked it could be adapted. I went to Glossop caravans today to price up the odds and sods that may be needed-----------it would double the value of the 'van.
So my dear friends, what can you suggest for this smelly old geriatric? We can still use the wet wipes (I've just bought some recommended on here) but it would be nice to have a little warm water squirted up our collective nethers, without being rude, any suggestions?

Whilst I can't be of direct help I hope the link below will be of help as it sounds you are both in a similar situation.

just answered this one. been using this method for years, drop a submersible pump into a container of warm water . connect pump to a showerhead . use inline switch to turn on pump . get wet . switch off pump . lather up . switch on pump and rinse off . maybe 5 ltrs of water .,use more if you've got it

Peter we bought one of these drop in warm water container plug into 12volt and bingo 7AC19293-32F0-4963-BEA7-1F26EFCC94BA.png

Someone else on a forum was asking a similar question. The suggested solution wether temporary or permanent at a reasonable price is to buy a pressure spray and fill it with hot/warm water to your liking.

Thanks folks. Strange thing about all this is that most of the budget priced ones show a 14 to 21 day delivery be they listed as being in Manchester or China (one even listed in Praha !!), so I've gone for this onehttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Professional-12V-Portable-Camping-Shower-Spray-Pump-Travel-Pet-Caravan-Car-UK/383633547743?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D225076%26meid%3Da7a5aaa24e63449d9d171f48d4587943%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D8%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D273639216738%26itm%3D383633547743%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv5PairwiseWebWithDarwoV2BBEV1%26brand%3DUnbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

Thanks again for carrying me

Those kind of units I think are very handy :) I have a similar unit but with a rechargable battery (downside is the part you drop into the water is bulkier - yours looks much neater)

(edited your link to make it easier to click on)

I used a similar one Peter when I just had a Citroen Dispatch with a roof tent on top. It actually worked better than the 'proper' shower in my first motorhome.

Is the girl included in the deal? 😀😀
I'll be interested to hear if the flow is as good as the photos suggest.

Now thats an idea, just gone from a Motorhome to a small camper, Just bought a toilet tent for when on site, I probably have all the bits to make a make shift shower, including 2 x spare 10ltr containers & a small pump complete with switch, that I used to fill the water tank up instead of driving to the tap. Also have spare shower heads...this has now got me thinking...thanks....
