Oops maybe just back from Europe

In his/her defence, and it's a lame defence I'll grant you, once they were on the wrong side of the dual carriageway there would not be a lot they could do. I would say they should have at least moved over to the hard shoulder, but there isn't one.

One last point. I wonder if this would have gotten the same publicity if it had been a car?

A few weeks back i saw one of our International residents :ninja: driving on the wrong side of the dual carriageway towards Preston.

Other road users were flashing their lights and people on the footpath were shouting at her but she just carried on then just turned off into the Hartington Road area.

Amusing has it may seem at times my neighbours son was killed on the M62 about 12 months ago by some one driving on the wrong side of the carriageway the guilty party now serving 9 years but for two lives lost and after a tarrif discount will serve 2 and a half years for each person he killed. The factor in this case is the guilty party was over the drink limit and traces of drugs in his blood.

Years ago one of my first jobs as a youngster was for Trust House Forte on the A1 at Barnsdale bar. Sat having lunch when a car towing a trailer tent pulled into the "fast lane of the Southbound carriage way...One almighty bang and a Truck side swiped him the trailer blown to oblivion ,thankfully no on was hurt.

Pulling out the service station it was a very short slip road so people pulled on the carriageway like a normal junction I can only assume he didn't realise or forgot that it was dual not single carriageway

In Glasgow on Cumbernauld road near Riddrie there’s a junction leading on to the M8. I witnessed a car taking the wrong entry on to the motorway. Fortunately they were alerted to the fact by cars on the slip toad going the opposite direction and stopped before going on to the motorway. We are all human and we have all made mistakes. That junction could be confusing to someone who is not familiar, even with the no entry signs. The vehicle in question on the video was stopped by the police, and turned around before a terrible accident could occur.
