onernighting at eurotunnel uk-side

any ideas on this ?
am planning on driving to folkestone in evening and staying in motorhome in their carpark for the night and then catching a 8am(ish) train the next morning
is this allowed/acceptable
cant bare the thought of travelling all the way to folkestone then driving for hours once in france
any comments would be appreciated

I do not think that they will allow you to stay in their car park over night, A good place to stop is Marine Parade in Dover its just down the road about 10 min from Eurotunnel. I did have a very early train to catch but have now changed it to afternoon so that I can take a nice drive down from home stop for some lunch then get to the train on time.

No, you will not be allowed to stay overnight at Eurotunnel. I f you arrive too early they'll send you away and tell you to come back within two hours of your train

The Black Horse is the answer to your problems. It is only a ten minute drive from the Tunnel.

On the way back, a lot of motorhomes stop over at Bleriot Plage in Calais. Personally, I prefer to stop at Bray Dunes as it is further away from the would-be immigrants. The Aires in Bray Dunes does get busy at the weekends but M/homes seem to be scattered all over the place sometimes.

Also, it is only 6kms to Adinkerke for Tobacco Alley

Canterbury Park n Ride is a good place to stop over, dedicated Motorhome area with toilet dump and drinking water, free bus into Canterbury all for £2-50 for 24 hrs, closed on Sundays but you can exit if in overnight Saturdays.Well fenced and security cameras.

ok..change of plan then!! have booked late afternoon eurotrain, and will just carry on driving till i need to stop in france, will then look for an aire when i do!
getting final bits sorted in my head now...arrgh.. starting to think too deeply about things! lol

They won't let you stop more than a couple of hours, we have nearly always been offered an earlier crossing at no extra charge. We try to plan to get there a good 4 to 6 hours before our booked time & have always been offered a crossing within an hour.
If you cross over the free aire Wissant (N50° 53′ 12′′ E1° 40′ 12′′ ) is only about 15kms from the tunnel. Alternatively you can carry on down the free motorway to the Auchan just outside Boulougne about half hours drive, if you park near to the McDonalds you can pick up free wifi from there or from LeRoy Merlin across the road.
