One off Citroen Picasso campervan.

I love it. My sort of campervan.

I have heard lots of good things about East Neuk and their conversions over the years.

That thing appeared on my feed a few days ago and I kept thinking I wonder how overweight it might be or could become once loaded.

We have owned a couple, here’s our first one in Culross which I bought for around £10,000 with 600 miles on the clock in 2000 it had a very noisy opening vinyl sunroof and did over 50 mpg constantly. They had two common issues, front springs snapped often stabbing the tyre and causing blow outs for which Citroen released a dubious protective cage kit under recall to mitigate and the ignition switches would occasionally melt! We still use a variant of the novel shopping trolley these came with in the vans now!

Not for me thanks.
I've seen the foot thick recall book at the main dealers :p

10 grand for a car, either money to burn or bonkers, last car cost me £10 and ran for 15 years turning 314 th miles, then sold for £600, beat that.

Most cars probably would Trev! :D
I know Rob as i see many just down the rd from me at hurst car sales which is the biggest centre in n ireland and only sell cars below 3 years old, older tradeins go straght to wilsons auctions malusk which is half a mile from me, being in m trade for years i know where and how to get the so called round the back yard cars for buttions, some with minor faults and low millages, my cup of tea. ;)

I bought a brand new one 2003 Exclusive model, I wont mention the cost, in case I give Trev a heart attack ;)

Panorama sliding glass roof, a lovely spacious car, great for touring and long drive, 2ltr derv engine was brilliant, and as mentioned, mpg was brilliant, I had the car for over 10 year, never had any mechanical issues with it, I do recall having one recall only. PF52 HVL is the reg, DVLA shows now sorned and last MOT 2017.

One summer while touring our west coast (pre camper/motorhome days) we missed the ferry from Kilchoan to Tobermory, local B&B's full, I found a dead end road to park for the night, rears seats removed and stored in open storage shed, sorted, and the views over to Mull were stunning, I have pictures of our night stay in the car.......

Wow, stunning views indeed Terry.
Kilchoan to Tobermory, or vis-versa, is a great alternative route to enter or leave Isle of Mull. One summer we motored from Tob over to Mingary Castle for a wee splash around, we found cannon balls and small round musket type balls (very difficult to spot them), we donated them to Mull Museum, Tobermory, I wonder if they are still there?

I note Mingary now redeveloped to an expensive hotel, was a ruin when we dived there, but good to see such a historic building back in habitable use.

Not too far is Castle Tioram, which has had several planning applications to to return castle to a habitable building, and as far as I know, Historic Scotland has always had an objection or three to previous applications, it don't make sense!
