One for the 'non-conventional' vehicle owners.

I know that some sites do not allow 'commercial' vehicles, as we were turned away from a couple despite the fact our mercedes 608 was fully and properly converted.

So what is the experience of you 'non-conventional' vehicle owners? Do you steer well clear of commercial sites? I'm sure some farmers would be more accomodating but how do you find them?

And would being a member of the caravanning or camping and caravanning clubs make a difference? Would they even allow you to join?

regards, phil

hi phil, i'm sure if you nipped round a few farmers someone would sort you out or know someone who could help, likewise, ask about on industrial sites, peeps always have a bit of spare room and you could say well i'll be here at night so i can offer a nightwatchman service in return for elec, water etc.

just a thought:)

Never had a problem on Club, commercial, foreign or any site. We have owned own conversion vans for the last 16 years.
