We all know how our resident Rock Star likes a good cheap park up for the night.
So I thought this one would impress even Barry, it certainly impressed me.

We have planned a trip starting three nights in the CCC site in Oban/Barcaldine.
We intend to go to the islands of Lismore and Kerrera.
Then head down to Claonaig and get the ferry over to Arran and spend 6 nights there.

So I booked the three nights at the CCC site our memberships and the ACR reduction brought it down to £46, I then applied a code for a grass only pitch this gave us another 40% off bringing it down to £27.95 for three nights that’s £9.30 a night.
You have to stay before 22 sept, and stay for three nights to qualify.
What a bargain.
But I am sure our Barry will beat even that.

This is a lovely wee site, with excellent facilities.
But they call it Oban, and it’s 14 miles north of Oban.

Remind me Bill - what is ACR Reduction, I'm a bit slow today (and every day!).

If your over 60 the CCC give you an additional 10% on top of the 20% membership discount Rob.

So this site started £70 less membership discounts £46, but the grass only discount of 40% brought it down to £27.95 for three nights.

Chuckle. Bargain Bill but I "genuinely" actually wouldn't qualify just yet.

I can beat it right now. £7 and all to ourselves for now at least. 😎

Ok young thing, you see I know rock stars never admit their true age.
But if you are under 60 hmmmmmm :p then call it £10.30 a night. Does your current location have showers and all the rest Barry.
You would still get your 20% members discount then the 40% grass only discount.

Don't need them Bill. The shower in this new van is superb! Ive been in hotels with smaller bathrooms! 🤣

Anyway I'm not a member. 😎

Sounds a great trip, Bill, one I fancy, I’ve been around both islands on our boat, never set foot on them though. On Kerrera, the Marina area, this was a repair base for PBY Catalina flying boats, we found the remains of a Sunderland flying boat at around 25 metre depth on the north side of the island. If you haven’t been, Oban war museum is worth a visit, I’m sure the site you are going to overlooks Ardmucknish Bay, out there lies the remains of the SS Breda. And of course, as you cross Connel Bridge, tide dependant, look down at the intimidating Falls Of Lora.
Have a good one 👍
