On-Line Magazines

How many of our fellow Full Times would consider subscribing to magazines such as MMM - PRACTICAL MOTORHOME etc if the were available to download to your laptop.

I have put this suggestion to MMM and Practical Motorhome and have had no response from the publishers.

I posted on the Out and About Forum and the reactions seems to be that we cannot be trusted. We would download and then distribute 100s of copies to our friends. I pointed out that I can buy one paper copy and pass that on to however many people I want.

The technology is there. CC have their mag available on-line as does British Naturism to name but two.

I downloaded a 76 page mag in just under 1 minute it took up 4.5Gb in low res .pdf format which is good enough for reading on a computer screen. There is a saving to the publisher in that there are no printing and distribution costs.

Those of us on the road, particularly while touring abroad could then read the latest information rather than wading through back numbers on our return to the UK. I know I can buy from a newsagent but an on-line copy would keep the weight down.
