Omnistor awning legs slipping

After having the motorhome for about 9 months, we finally got to use our 5m awning.
Unfortunately they do not seem to lock properly, we set them at the required height, that is so the door to the habitation area can be fully opened, but the legs gradually slide down too low.
Now I am more that able to devise a means of maintaining a legs length by means of drilling holes and pinning or manufacturing a collar for the bottom of the leg, but is this a common problem or is there an item that can be bought which is 'made for the job,?

The 'lowering' of the legs are encouraged when fitting guide ropes and pegging them down too!

The legs on our Omnistor awning lock very securely - sounds like there's something wrong with yours. Are you pushing the locking lever fully up?

Rose Awnings in Poole are the main agents, they do spare parts and will no doubt advise on your problem. See: Omnistor Awnings

Could be that the legs have been lubricated or contaminated at some time? try cleaning with meths or similar.

Thanks peeps for your posts.
Have had a good look today and can see that the plastic lever is not pushing hard enough onto the metal pad on the inside of the legs.
I attempted to 'pad' one end of the levers with a small screw, which was not successful so I removed the screw and found that now the lever locks the legs more securely.
It seems, therefore that in the process of making a hole with a screw has lengthened the lever very slightly, which has done the job.
