Omni step on the new shape ducats (2007)

I have seen mention of a fitting kit required to fit these but can't seem to find one on any of the suppliers who sell the step. Has anyone got one on their van?

Is it needed, and if so what is it? the fitting instructions are vague that I can find online.

I can't believe they charge 120 quid more for the motorised version too!
