Not sure if thats me or the Van! Here is Bert. 1987 CF280 2.3 diesel 5 speed

I have had Bert for 3 months. As with most CF2s, body work is abit ropey, which I hope to get sorted after the world cup.

"The Plan" is to drive around UK visiting Relatives during the World Cup months and various other places. Then some serious body work over the Winter/Spring so he is beautiful for next summer. Off for remidial heart surgery tomorrow (Bert not Me) because he just doesn't like his diesel at the moment.

Welcome and I think you will find to be a proud owner as when you drive her heads are gonna turn,she will be getting whistled at I bet 👍
 
Had one of those sitting in a shed at my last biz,it had a oil burner engine,think opel donkey,looks good for age.

That brings back memories.
In the 90s, they'd just opened the Greek island of Thassos up to tourism. Right at the top of The Aegean.
One, even more battered than yours, limped off the ferry, driven by a wild-eyed, nut brown, scarecrow of a man.
I got chatting to him... What's his story ?.

It turned out that he was a stressed out teacher, in his 50s. He'd had enough and was trying for an enhanced retirement package. He had 6 months to prove that he was a loonie.
He devised a plan to take a photo of his van on every island with ferry connections, starting at Crete. This was his final destination.
If I'd never met him, we'd have never considered buying a van when we retired.
I bet he got his package... And is still trundling round in his Bedford, today.
 
Your Bert is a very handsome boy much nicer than any old VW Transporter.
