We traveled upto Inverness the other year and had a great time. We were going to go further North until we saw how many midges there were on the midge app so we went South instead and enjoyed the Coast round Fife.

Hope the millions of visitors don’t spoil your enjoyment.

We know the area well never fear. But... the "500" roads are in a shocking state and getting worse. Mainly because vehicles are forcing past each other instead of using the passing places.. oh they can't cos they are occupoied by cars of people taking pics. There was a report recently from a garage saying they are dealing with 40 call outs a week for burst tyres from the road edges which are now sharp due to the passing as mentioned.

A few years back Harris was over run with Italians and I don't use that word lightly. Where we fitted neatly there were 3 vans shoe horned in etc etc... we took the first ferry off and went to a lovely island.
