Off to Morocco and wondered about Sat Nav

Intend to do 4 month in Morocco and wondered if anyone had any input on sat navs for there, at present I have a Tom Tom

We used a tomtom with the Morocco maps. Pretty accurate and helped us no end. I doubt any UK sold satnav will have Morocco on by default, so you will probably have to buy the maps as an add on. Easy enough with TomTom.
Unless of course you are a hacker and have a, erm, different version of TomTom and can read any map downloaded off the internet. /apparently.

Also - Vicarious books Morocco guide isn't great, but it does have info about campsites including GPS - so whilst you may not use it much, probably worth having as (when we looked late 2010) there was nothing better we could find.

My Tom Tom had no Morocco maps loaded and when we were there tom Tom could display Co Ordinates but that was all, we bought a paper map from WHS before we went and that was fine.

Yes, TomTom do a Morocco map, its about £45 I think. If you want a paper map the Michelin 742 map of Morocco is probably the best road map, Vicarious Books used to do a bundle deal of the Michelin map and their Camping Morocco guide, worth a look to see if they still do.

Take a look at gpsunderground.com I'm a 'Garmin' man, but they are listing an Africa street map, so maybe there's a TomTom version as well.
