Nuclear Reactor anyone??

Seeing we are talking about alternative fuels, chip pan junk, LPG decanting....ooooo scarey.... Which to me all seem to lack any real....sort of .power or any serious financial savings come to that.

So I just wondered if anyone had successfully integrated a nuclear reactor into their Motor home. Seems the Government might have a couple of old ones available soon..

I did find a couple of NR links, but the reactors look a bit big, dont think they will sit in my gas locker easily.

You could always try a quantom singularity,i installed one 2 weeks ago and should last a lifetime, they can be a bit temporamental though;)

When they get that Hadron Collider thing going again I think we'll all have a lot more to worry about. Nuclear eactors will look puny in comparison. And where you gonna run to when the whole world explodes???

Ones in a submarine are 10mx10mx10m. You'd have to come down to maximum 2mx2mx2m for a van. Bloody heavy though; would need tank like construction to carry it!

dont think they would care as long as they could tax it

I'm down for the impulse warp drive motors off the enterprise please:D

Quantom Singularity - Black Hole Drive

Sorry guys, this drive [also known as the Hawkins drive] is just too dangerous. The weights ok, as I have a tag axle. Might have to jettison a few bottle of wine though.Hmmmmmmm. Re think here.
For a long while I have struggled with the black hole created by my wife's credit card and my nerves just couldn't handle another one. Anyway, I haven't anywhere to store all her extra shoes and handbags. Am experimenting at the moment with a number of go-go hamsters, in series of course, but its not looking encouraging....

So looks like we are sticking to good old Rudolph's invention. [and I don't mean the sleigh!!!] and pay extra to our friend Gordon.

I've sent an Email to Doc Emmet Brown for the diagrams and workings of his Flux capacitor, If it will fit in a DeLorean it will fit in my Hymer !!!
Also go straight to the future to get the Banana peel Mr Fusion Modification.
Then you'd just hang around AJ'S van waiting for fuel :rolleyes:

The only fuel AJ has plenty of is Bull***t. :D

kinell your sharp this morning:rolleyes:
.... read it again
see if your retort fits... bet it does :D:D:D

regards :p:rolleyes:
aj

that's why i charge for it:rolleyes:
.... high grade sh1te...betterer than rocket fuel :D:D

I thought fuel cells would be a good idea but I get that nagging Apollo 13 flashback (no pun intended) :D

Try this then. Small motor connected to a genny, then electric motors on each wheel built into the wheel hubs.

No need for a conventional transmission layout as electronics would make all the motors work together and proportional to each other. Permanent four wheel drive so you don't get stuck on muddy sites and no clutch to worry about. Also very low emissions as the engine would not need to rev its nuts off and could run at a constant rate. Probably also batteries somewhere to act as a current buffer and also supply the habitation part.

Don't laugh, this design is already being used on mine haul trucks in Africa, Australia, South America and elsewhere, and these things move 350 tonnes at a time.

I machined engine block castings for these things in my last job.

Must be fairly easy to fit around an 'A' class or similar. :)

I had such a system on a mini mini digger but without the generator, just a honda engine and 4 motors, worked well.

i fitted a flux capacitor to my van to replace the old power system which was prone to over charging the battery on occasion. the old system also took up a fair amount of space under the seat,

the new flux capacitor is much more reliable and blends in nicely with the wiring for the Thetford plasma convertor

Jesus there is always somebody out there taking the pith two sugars thats not even a flux capasitor, that is my idea, that is my singularity engine, and the machinery that harneses the power the pictures are acurate and are super imposed pictures of the nano-technology at work.Your not fooling anyone man and may i suggest that people on this forum dont give two ****s about your silly comments.Only sensible comments please with the correct photos:D:confused::);):confused::confused::confused:

Nuclear Reactor anyone???

Yes yes yes,, all well and good, but anyone can stick a coloured piece of cardboard at the back of the cab, which traditionaly is reserved for scantily clad girls, and of course should always remain so.
I favour the simple warp drive reactor, mainly because most people have all the bits needed in their shed, so it could easily be knocked up over the weekend.
So,
