I have just made face to face contact with someone in Norway who is very keen on wild camping. Anyway whilst our chat went on I said I was keen on a visit to Norway in our van next year around June or July. He has promised to tell me of some spots in the wilds in his local area. I have emailed him tonight to make contact over the tinternet. Anyway will keep you informed of any further outcome. Area N 58 23.412, E 7 59.883.

I went to Norway camping a few years ago, Wilding is legal in Norway so long as you are away from peoples houses. I think its 200m which is very easy to achieve in Norway.

We went over on the Newcastle - Kristensand ferry but I believe this has stopped now. We looked this year at visiting but could not see an easy and affordable way of getting to Norway with a van. Could you let me know if you work out a way to get over that does not involve a long drive thru Sweden ?

Brevik- Immingham, the last crossing operating I believe. Primarily freight but takes cars and passengers without the frills of the former Kristiansand crossing
Port to Port - DFDS Tor Line
