Hi, We are off to Spain & Portugal around october time.
Last year we followed the Pilgrim trail from Saint Jean-pied- de-Port to Santiago de Compostela, this year we wish to spend a few days in the Picos national park before heading off to the beaches in Portugal . I have a couple of wild campsites marked up near Cain. if anybody else has spent time in this area & has other wilding spots to recommend it would be appreciated.

Thanks Dezi

hi ,october should be ok. i normally go by in november .it can be very snowy. i keep to the coast and work round .loads of free places . get a cespsa map of spain and portugal they list small beaches others dont. but so many places to stay .i would say across cantarbria and asturia(?). portugal isnt too bad till you get to ericeira.again loads of places almost stop anywhere. have a good time sure you will.

Hi Vwalan, thanks. I know my way around both Countries very well, its just that particular area in the Picos that I am unfamiliar with.

We will be heading down to Pedrogao Grande in the middle of Portugal - out 14 Oct back 2 Nov. It will be our first trip to Europe in the campervan so I will be asking for advise when I start planning the trip. We've got 16 days in Russia / Finland (not with the CV) first.
