Might be a show tonight a small CME hit the earth about 0900 today Aurorawatch triggered a yellow alert ;)

A solar wind stream is buffeting Earth's magnetic field, sparking a mild (Kp=5) geomagnetic storm around the poles on April 12-13. In Europe, Northern Lights descended as far south as Ireland:

Anybody see anything ??
 
Currently Aurora Watch is GREEN again, but overall the magnetic activity level is one point below storm, so tonight may be a possibility. There was a brief showing visible in Donegal apparently for only 15 minutes and it was relatively weak.....wasn't out and about though myself.
 
On Wednesday about 1100 UTC the Ionosphere took a battering as Short Wave Comms all but vanished except for the high power broadcast stations, but they were well down on signal strength!

Crap...missed it....all the predictions were not for a full storm...:sad:
