Looking forward to walking to this famous lighthouse today

Croeso i Gymru! Welcome to Wales! If you're exploring around Ynys Lawd/South Stack, the Tŷ Mawr prehistoric hut circles and Elin's Tower are worth a quick detour (from the first car park on South Stack Road). Enjoy yourselves here whatever you do :)
Went there before heading for south stack. Took some great photos but cant post due to slow internet. I will do so from Portmerion tomorrow hopefully. Cheers.

Managed to link up to CL WI-FI.
And load up photos.
The south Stack lighthouse and surrounding landscape is absolutely stunning. And the C&MC CL Gorsegoch Farm is excellent. Stunning views, manicured pitches, EHU, grey water (in hedge) elsan point, and good WiFi, recycled waste, £22. Heading for portmerion tomorrow.

I’m sure you’ve done your research but there is a campsite which at first glance appears very expensive (£65) or thereabouts but it does include admission which from memory is about £20 pp ,just saying.

Could you walk from that site to South Stack…we’re heading that way soon.

Google maps will tell you how far the walk is, then you can decide if it is within your capabilities.

At the moment anything above 100 yards is too far for SWMBO, she even uses her electric trike to get to the toilet block.

Meanwhile, super fit me can manage 200 yards (if there is a seat en route).

Yes either via the road or coastal walk one hour walk. If you want to wc, there’s a carpark at the end of the road just past the CL. But I would recommend the cl. It took about an hour to get to the lighthouse.

Have you found it ok to find places in Wales to stay at short notice? We don’t want plan too far ahead, too many uncertainties.

Have not really tried to be honest. But from what I have seen although possible, it’s not as good as Scotland for wc. Loads of no evernight signs, and barriers. But I really like Wales. I had only been to the north before, but it’s been a great trip so far. We are in Aberystwyth golf course right now, lovely spot, but a 20 minute walk uphill coming back from

town. Heading for St David’s tommorow.

Sorry but at £25 a night over and above the entry costs it’s an absolute bargain. The facilities are first class, best showers ever on any campsite, great pitches, EHU, two elsan points, best grey water disposal I have ever seen, fresh water, access to swimming pool included if you fancy a dip, and as for Portmeirion it’s well worth seeing, absolutely amazing place. I will post pictures when I get better internet. But here was our pitch.

Yes, don’t expect much by way of wilding spots in Wales, but curious whether CLs/cs’s and Campra Aires are getting fully booked.
