North Norfolk.

In the 2007 Camperstop Europe handbook, Salthouse on the North Norfolk coast is given as a tolerated place for Wild Camping. I can confirm that this is definately NOT the case. I was there on 25th May and had long conversation with a friendly police officer who moved us on. He said that North Norfolk Police uphold any car parks that say 'no overnighting'. HOWEVER, the good news is that we moved on to the car park on Cley Marshes at the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Centre, and their amazing spot had no restrictions noted. We spoke to the warden after paying him a visit after hours to pay for the Hides walk we had enjoyed at 5am, and he said that Motorhomes arent really wanted but are tolerated! We did our best to reassure him that we were a responsible bunch, who left no mess! For the time being this is a real find! The views across the salt marshes at sunset are amazing!
