Hi all

I have a problem with our charger on so much as it has stopped charging and there is a red dle on inside. I believe there is an internal fuse in this unit (143ne) but had a quick look and couldn't see it. Can anyone point me in the right dorection. Everything else seems to work ok in the van when this unit is plugged in. We also have a display on the control panel that yells us that the battery is charging?? Carioca dd10 MH.

cheers for any advice/help

There's a connection diagram and schematic diagram available to download here: NE143-RM
Looks like there is a 30A fuse in the output from the charger.

Would you have a connection diagram and schematic diagram for the Nrdelettronica NE143. The previous link is no longer working.

There's only one fuse on the charger it's a blade fuse on the end panel.

They are a real quart in a pint pot charger and not the most reliable unit to be fair. I've had to repair mine more than once. There's a small PCB transformer that blows quite often and the PCB tracks aren't up to carrying the current of the 22A unit but I think yours is the smaller 15/17 A unit so you may be ok on that count.
If it's knackered you'll be able to pick a second hand unit up quite cheaply because a lot of them are appearing on eBay due to folks removing them as part of lithium upgrades.
If you do need to swap it out then keep your eyes open for the more modern units with fan cooling added.

Better still buy a smart 10/30ah charger from ebay, i run a numax 10ah but you can get a 30ah duel so van hab battery and starter gets a boost.

The Nordelettronica chargers have an inbuilt second output that connects to the control panel to indicate when you're successfully connected to EHU. If you swap out the charger for another brand then you lose this function. It's not essential but it is actually quite a handy feature.

On my van running a numax i can see the voltage rise on meters on dash, right for strter left for hab batts, unit also has a fan which runs sometimes but almost impossable to hear.
Can also see solar charge with voltage meters.
