Gutted for you about your van, is the weather not bad in your neck of the woods? We are supposed to be going to Pembrokshire in the morning, don't fancy the 4 hour drive to sit in a muddy field with the wind and rain howling. We were thinking of Derbyshire instead, then saw the news!

i think it is going to warm up for week end tho, this is the beauty of having MH, do a last minute.com thats what i would do, and plan a route where you would be on a main road, Cromford basin would be good as its just off a well used main road. wind is howling here tho, i've jsut come back from walking dogs, its bitter cold in that wind, let us know where you end up.

Yup, your spot on there, i think the problem is with me, i dont have choice, usually i dont go away on BH weekends, i usually work then have a normal long weekend off, its great, never ever get stuck in traffic and places are very quite, but.................. i hadn't met my bezzie mate lotty, we are like a pair o teenagers planning a girly weekend away:scared:, thats the problem, :lol-053:

yeah corse, but it will be busy this weekend and lots of newbies on the river getting stuck in the lock, proper LOL material, especially when the enter the lock at 100 mph and get stuck,:scared:

I'm not going anywhere, OH, I can't drive and my husband is working non-stop till Tuesday, so I shall be sitting at home looking at the motorhome outside. Still if the weather is cold I won't care.

Had somebody steam into the lock behind me at full speed and then he couldn't get reverse - crunch - wasn't v amused:mad1:
