Sign (quite literally) of the times sadly....

Legally binding or not... Seems blind eye being turned is possibly not so blind anymore,
Usual story apparently...
Long term stayers and mess left behind appear to have come to the attention of Messrs Hanson Ltd. FB_IMG_1523060211159.jpg

Thanks for the update. I'll remove it from the POIs.

Given that it's private land the owners are entitled to prohibit its use.

While that is a loss there are plenty of other locations within a few hundred meters of this one.

Bugger, I was planning on that for my next monthly challenge, there's always the Station Inn car park, or under the Viaduct but I don't know how to get to that one. May have to rethink and go somewhere else.

Huh if you know where the station inn is the viaduct is next to it and so is the quarry so not sure which one you don’t know how to get to.

It looks like it is Carol but not 100% it’s a shame if it is but as phillybarbour says there are plenty of other overnight stops nearby.

You'll have to show me where they are. I loved the quarry parking though ...

Be very, very, very careful if you drive down to underneath the viaduct, there is some ridiculously soft ground down there :scared: walk down and check it out first

Having had dealings with Hanson in the past regarding 'access' to land they own....

They will soon resort to some fairly heavy and permanent methods of preventing access IF they consider it needed.

Not sure the problem at Ribblehead but its been mentioned that large groups had been seen there for rather longer than the odd night etc....
Guess that has come to Hansons attention.

That`s what happens and then it knackers it up for the individuals that just want 1 or 2 nights there :mad2:

To be honest you don’t get that many staying there for long periods only the hardest of WCers as there is no phone, internet, or tv signal and even the pub does not allow any punters to use the internet anymore we stopped at the pub a few months back and when we asked for the password we were told it is no longer for public use.

This is not in the POIs because access by vehicles to that area is prohibited ...
