After making plans to head off for the weekend to North Wales for a test run in the new motorhome...then leave it there for my Dad to enjoy for a few weeks until we are off for Xmas

Circumstances conspired against us... And dad discovered he needed to be at home this weekend and following week...

SO we headed up to Harrop fell just above Clitheroe on a fab little 5 pitch site (£14 a night with hook up and water/chem dump.

Sites at the back of a small Chapel (all fees go to the Chapel apparently) and quiet and peaceful.

Fab....

I was up that way a bit back,
Not sure if it was the same one you’re at but it was nice, Chappell thingamajig on the left as you drive in, Then on a tad through a small gate onto a small pitch area, Strait Road with Two off to the Left & Two off to the right, the last being in front of you Dead Center

Tight lanes around there for me as I remember, I then headed to Sawley & another parkup not far along the A59, if you get the chance take a wander to have a Breakfast roll at Dick Turpins roadside cafe or the American ice cream parlour thing along Skipton way ish
YUMMY

Spot on....

Cracking place and run by a very welcoming couple on behalf of the Chapel...

Loverly views too

Location please as not too far from where I live so would be nice for a couple of nights. Earlier in the year went to a nice little CL near Stocks reservoir, the only problem was that we were completely surrounded by sheep, not good when you have your canine companion with you.

There’s actually TWO sites in the same lane, although this one is in my view the best, The other one is by the 4WD or Off road vehicle Center. But as I say, Probably not as nicer view.
I ‘Think’ it’s in an area called ‘Herrop Fell’ ‘Herrop Chapel’ ‘Ribble Brook’ or Something like that .

Harrop Chapel.....

Great views and lots of peace and quiet aplenty...

Waddington is worth a visit.. Park up on the Cricket Club parking. 2 excellent pubs within staggering distance.
There's also a C&CC CL nearby for a pit stop

Back home now after a very nice wander up onto the hills behind the Chapel with hounds in tow....
(both flaked out now on sofa next to me)

Loverly peaceful spot and very chilled low key place... Impressed with new van (on board shower was fab last night) even IF care is needed on narrower roads... Especially at night lol.

Yep, That’s the same bay I had, I reversed into the one Straight ahead as you drive in as well, But it looks like the farmer has moved The Massive MONSTER Sheep Out the field behind now !.
Glad you’re happy with the new van, It’s very satisfying isn’t it Matey.
The other small site that I first looked at but thankfully was Full is if you drive out the gate, Take a left go to the end of the same lane, it’s just across the field) but obviously you have to Meander towards the main road to get in the proper way.
