Just come back from the Peak district and for once (well almost) we went without planning and just had a view to wild camp using the GPS POIs on here.

Fantastic!

Place 1 - quiet/safe/okay
Place 2 - quiet/safe/good/good views/perfect location
Place 3 - quiet/safe/okay/superb views/perfect location
Place 4 - quiet-ish/safe-ish/good views

Place 4 only marred by a car driving past at 11pm, stopped next to us revving engine, then drove off and around a few times. To be honest don't think it was anything unsafe but enough to annoy and give us a restless-ish night. To be fair, we could have chosen a better location but chose "flatter" over "safer" - our mistake.

So not only was it a good few free nights, but the locations took us to places we'd never have found ourselves!

Thanks to the madman who converted the knoweldge into GPS and with streetview. Mad, but most excellent!

It's great to read about how people have benefited from the files Chris has made available. Unfortunately he is off on holiday today for couple of weeks but I am sure he will be pleased to read you had such a good time.

We are off for 2 weeks in august and have booked a total of 4 nights on a site, the rest of the time we hope will be wild.
