Nextbase Dash Cam 402G Professional

I,ve had a Nextbase dashcam 402G for nearly 2 years and to be honest It's been very good.gps etc and comes with software for playing back on the PC
Been having problems with the battery,it just doesn't hold the charge anymore.
I did a google as you do and surprised to find it's a common fault so beware if you have one or are thinking of buying one.

I've had mine also a couple of years and found from New the battery lasted about 15 mins I think if they put a better battery in the unit may of cost more plus it would of been bigger . There idea is that it remains plugged in all the time however that is not always good for devices these days , also found it is not the most user friendly on the market now there are better now as more makes out there to choose from . I swope mine from car to car and my camper so not hard wired mine in like some people I now

I believe it has been replaced by a wifi enabled model. Sorry I see they are still doing the 402.

I had this problem and contacted Nextbase ... they replaced the battery and updated the firmware free of charge under guarantee.

They will probably charge to do the same after 2 years, but they were helpful and it's worth a phone call - 02920 866 429.

Sad fart

I've just got off the telephone to tech support.They were indeed very helpful and even though mine is 2 months short of 2 years old they agreed straight away to send me out a battery with instructions how to fit.
I got a bit of encouragement from the martin lewis site quoting his "sad fart" rule.

Battery delivered less than an hour ago,fitted and charging .All working ok.

if you give nextbase a nice call or email they will send you a new battery and fitting instructions , i did, well happy
