Hi folks,
I am happy that I have found this site as I am planing our holidays in September.
We come from Germany and want to start in Dover, cruise through the south towards Cornwall. I have already read the "how to" thread with a lot of tips.
We were not sure if we are allowed to camp wild in Great Britain, using common sence and consider simple rules (which should be natural) we have made good experiences in Ireland 2009.
But we would be grateful for tip we could get.., where to stay, what to visit...
I am thinking about getting a NT-touring-pass, which is 48 P for 2 weeks and 2 persons, is this a good idea? We like to see castles, parks and gardens.
Does anybody know if it possible to stay over night on the parking of the minack-theatre? We want to visit a performance and it would be great to if we could stay there, to we have to buy tickets before (it is not quite season, we will go in september)?
So, I will go on and read all interesting stuff and dream of my holidays...

Hello Beate

Welcome to Wildcamping.

I just had a look and there are about 20 sites within 20 kilometers of the theatre, one of which is very close.

Access to the site database is by becoming a full member.
see http://www.wildcamping.co.uk/forums/payments.php

The cost is currently 17.10 Euros per year.

I am just full member and have already saved the subscription by using several of the sites in the database. There are currently just over 3000 sites listed for the UK.

Best Wishes
