Well, we're getting used to our first ever motorhome by taking afternoons out before our first overnight trip. We parked up on Sandbanks Road had a lovely walk on the beach and then sat in MH with a steaming cuppa watching an amazing sunset over Brownsea Island! Think we're gonna like this new way of life! Funny thing is, we only live 2 miles away, but you don't have to go far to enjoy the MH.

Welcome to a sometimes mad site, but if you have any questions, there's usually someone here to help.

Do a search of old threads first.

The £15 to join will soon repay with the help and POI's of overnights.

PS if you are a full member you can get reduced cost refillable gas cylinders, saves a fortune!! Plus other offers.

If you don't like what a few people say, just ignore them the majority are only too happy to share their vast knowledge.

Happy days

I can beat that!
I had two lady friends arrive from Estonia for a Dance Festival in Norwich, but I have only a one bedroon flat. No problem. They had my bedroom, (suitably tidied up and clean) while I slept in the campervan on the car park!
All happy for 4 nights.

every time we leave for trip, after all the packing and sorting out and remembering of all that stuff you mustn't forget,we always stop in the first reasonable layby and have a cuppa, usually less than a mile from home, and it tastes great because we are now officially on holiday!

May as well put the kettle on while in all that traffic near your place these days

One of the best ways to determine if you have everything in the van to 'survive' overnight is to, as we did, sleep in the van, overnight in your own garden..... even then it seems like you are on holiday!!!

Yes it is nice there, the Beach Cafe does some good food as well!

I keep my boat in Poole Harbour in Poole Quay Marina, small world!

I think I must have been a bit stupid Richard

when I set off on my trip it was the first time I'd driven my MH and anything I did'nt have with me I had to buy.A right reality check I can tell you but 2 and a half years later I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Enjoy yourselves its later than you think
