Hello!

My boyfriend and I have decided to jump in at the deep end and buy a campervan and live in it fulltime. The plan is to wildcamp some of the time and to stay at camp sites every couple of days for a shower etc. From reading some of the threads on this site I understand that it's best to move around and not stay in one place for more than one night, this sounds good as we're quiet folk who want to live peacefully with pretty views of the coutrysdie etc. However, we both have fulltime jobs so would be moving on each day but sticking in roughly the same area (Exeter and 10mile radius).

The question is, do you think that local law enforcers would get annoyed by seeing the same small camper in vastly different locations at different times throughout the year...? Even though we won't be having parties or being messy..?

Thanks for reading this,
Holly

Full Timing...

I did this for about three years. I worked shifts and had a small camper, however I moved about quite alot and some of my camp sites were in woods.
I used a place once too often near the M25 and somone complained and I got a wake up call at 3 in the morning by the police. You might have to expand your radius of 10 miles to maybe 30, which would make you less obvious. If you can make your camper to look like a council vehicle on business, you may go unnoticed. My trick was a couple of S U R V E Y signs stuck on the side of the van. (Works fine, but make sure you have a backup story for the survey).
Good Luck!!:)

Hi guys, I,m an old fart fulltimin in a tag axle hymer. I have lost count of the storys Ive told (never harmed anyone) but I would imagine there are a lot of c.s,s in your neck of the woods were you would be parked legally for a good price, I do recommend joinin camping and caravanning club, and you get details of all their sites and c.s,s Good luck....Bob

I live in my campervan throughout the week, working in London and the Southeast I use the same spots often ,but only for a couple of nights before moving on and have had no trouble , I have been approached by Police Officers on occassion but their view seems to be if you are clean and tidy and do not disturb anyone they have no problem with you . I tend to stick to the Rural areas on the outer side of the M25 and catch the train in
