New Year Rally.

Happy New Year to you all, hope you had a great time, we went on a five night Rally with Solent D.A. of the Camping Caravan Club at a local School, what a fabulous time we had, we had use of the school halls for the whole Rally, tea and coffee on the go all the time, we had Dances Quizzes, Games, Walks, Entertainment, and a great highlight was an International street in the Hall, the organiser set up five Gazebos each representing a Country and gave away food and drink typical to that Country, they dressed in costume of the Country and it was a great success, we had on New Years Day a table dressing competition where you were invited to dress a table to a theme and then it was all judged to find two winners, one for a table over eight covers and one for below eight covers, the results were fantastic, the winner for over eight decorated their table in a Moroccan theme, they had an Oasis and palm trees Camels, and were all dressed as Moroccans it was superb, we had a Saint Trinnians Table with all the young girls in Gym slips, should have won I thought,after the judging we all sat at our tables and ate a meal of our choice previously prepared, some had proper three course meals , others Salads and left over Turkey etc from Christmas, our table had an American Supper type food where we all made different dishes and shared it all out.A great day, We all had lots to drink and eat and lots of fun the whole 5 nights and all for only £50 all in, the Organisers worked very hard to ensure everyone had fun and I heard no complaints from anyone only praise, What a great community the Camping Fraternity is.:fun::fun::fun:

And one of the warmest Christmas's on record - PERFECT! (Wish I'd done the same, crap TV and most of the neighbours gone away!)
