New windscreen being fitted today.

We hadn't used our motorhome for awhile, it's still up for sale, but we used it last weekend to go up to Harrogate for a few days, to the BCTF at the Showground. On the way up, as I was joining the M5 motorway, I had to join a military convoy, I was second in line, the lead vehicle pulled over onto the hard shoulder to get rid of me, a stone flew up off his wheels and cracked my windshield, new one being fitted today...£125. It's as well I don't use profanities or I would say B####cks!!:mad2:

First quote Autoglass.uk = £375!!!, but found cheap bloke in Worcester. actually £98 + VAT fitted.

Job done. But if you have a Herald on a Transit tell the fitter because it takes two to fit the screen, luckily I was here to help. Due to the overhead cab, the screen cannot be swung in or out from the top. I bunged the bloke an extra Tenner for his trouble.
