Hi all
You may recognise me from other forums, did not realise this site existed only found it while searching for places to stay on my next trip into europe.
Well i am glad i found it as i can now ask you knowledgeable lot about overnight stops en route to Lake Garda.
From other forums i have decided to tavel from Calais to Lake Garda via Obernai (just south of Strasbourg) and Reutte in Austria (just south of Garmish) then to Landeck and Nauders over Resia/Reschen pass to Merano to Bolzano finally arriving at Lake Garda.
This route is supposed to be not too taxing and free of Tolls/Vignettes with some lovely scenery
Where can i stay overnight along this route, preferably for free but willing to pay for the services provided.
I have four weeks from departure Eurotunnel on August 24th and apart from a week on Lake Garda (no dates booked hope i can find a site)where can go?
I have 12 Camping cheques and I believe there to be a campsite on Lake Garda that accepts them all year.
Also and i am sorry to to be a pain, I would like to return to Calais via Baveno on Lago Maggiore where i am due to meet up with some Belgian friends.
I would not like you to think i am using this forum as some sort of travel agency, I really would appreciate any advice on this trip.
Many thanks
Diezel

Camper Stops all the way

Hi Everybody
Some of you will also know me from other forums, like Diezel I have not seen you before, however the better half has as she included this site in the book Go Motorhoming Europe, under you guessed it wild camping except we call it free parking.

I have some good news for you there is a publication called CamperStop Europe that has 6200 stop overs across Europe, best of all it is in four languages and one of them is English. We have checked and there are plenty of choices along the route and even one near lake Garda for €2.50 per night and another for €10 in total there 11 in the close vicinity.

You can buy the guide from us for £13.99 + £2.00 P&P here www.camper-stop.co.uk

Go Motorhoming
Been there done it and really did write the book
