Finally gave up on our old Trumatic.
It sort of worked on our last trip out , we had a couple of red light stops on the control panel then it eventually settled down and worked but I have lost faith in it so bit the bullet and fitted a new Combi. New one has 240 option so thats a bonus too

Yes was a bit ouchy. £1400 for the boiler plus about another hundred for bits and pieces . Hopefully well worth it though

Why are Motorhome Parts always at least Double the price of normal House Parts.Crazy

Anyway you did the right thing and at least you havent got the problem now.

Was it easy to fit i/e any major alterations or does it pretty much connect up the same?

Captive (and much smaller!) market, so basically they can charge as they want? :(

We had to relocate ours. The old one sat upright in a cupboard but due to the new ones being on there side it wouldn't fit by 5mm. We ended up putting ours in the garage..

Fortunately ours was under the fixed bed and there was just enough room for the new one. The gas line needed shortening but you get a new fitting with the boiler. Needed a couple of new water pipe fittings and moved the position of the dump valve. The new exhaust/inlet pipe provided with the new boiler was just about long enough. The difficult bit was the wiring for the control panel. It was tempting to cut the plugs off and solder them to the ends of the old cable but as I had to run a 240 line and a new power feed to the control panel I ended up stripping all the overcab lining to get at the wiring. Good job I did as I discovered the rooflight has developed a leak so there is another job. Hope to get all tested commissioned and the van back together this weekend.
