20 quid a YEAR! But you can get reasonable maps on free apps, why spend any money at all? :scared:

I suppose some people need to get rid of it somehow! :lol-053:

Its not for me...but this is what i like about the forum...good people take time to let other members know about things that might interest them. So thank you for posting.

Not a bad app at all, but as I have invested mucho $$$ in Memory Map products I will stick with them. £20 / year would have been better value, though - I had to pay £30 just for the MM Android app without any maps:p

I used to use Mapyx on my PC and found it great. You could download and print small maps very cheaply and it worked a treat with my GPS, enabling me to compile a data base of walks recorded on the 'breadcrumb' feature as well as planning routes and entering waypoints. I now use a Mac and lost that facility. I look forward to the new platform and will try it out asap.

thanks for post on maps very good ,though i get free on linux called gps drive.

If you are a dedicated walker, then £20 a year is a pretty reasonable price for a regularly updated OS mapping system.

Thanks for the heads-up on this :)
