New motorohome!

Went and gone and done it at the weekend. Went to Brownhills at Birtley and looked at a superb 2009 Burstner Nexxo T660, on a Ford Transit 2.2 base. Paid a deposit, and waiting now for everything going through.
Much as we've enjoyed the Autotrail, the over cab bed was a bit much for us retirees, but making up the bed in the lounge meant nowhere for the one who likes to be up late (not me) to sit. So, a fixed bed and a half dinette looks a better bet. Also, OH has been longing for cruise control, so that's him happy. We were informed by the dealer that many people take three or four go's before finding the right layout, but I hope not - the retirement lumper has gone now. Taking the Autotrail in tomorrow so they can swap over the solar panel, and do a few other bits and bobs we want doing, then just keep the excitement under control till it's ready. For many years, we had looked forward to buying a new car and caravan with my retirement payout, so having switched to a motorhome last year, we decided it amounted to the same thing. It's scary pulling out that amount of money though! Our son thinks we're daft for changing it after only 10 months, but I think he's just worried about his inheritance!

Does anyone have one of these vans? We have had a German caravan in the past, and appreciate the quality, hope the m/home will be the same.

Nice one hope we don't hear any horror stories from you regarding Brownhills, make a change to hear from a satisfied customer.

New motorhome

Marydot, have you parted with a 10 month old motorhome or had you owned a used one. You mentioned an Auto-Trail, what model?

Exiting times for you but well worth the investment if you use it.

It was a 2003 Cheyenne 635SE, our first m/home after 23 years of caravans.
