i'm off to cardiff tomorrow to pick up my new (new to me) bus. bought myself an old hymer. it's in at the deep end, off to fort william on sunday to partake in a mountaineering course. will be there all week so i'm sure to find out any problems with it. if there's anyone up there, post and i will hook up for a drink. i have an internet dongle but not sure about reception. if i have a good signal, i will be online in the evenings and will post some pics, especially me gettin stuck in snow. ha. by the way, the transit has to go, if anyone is interested.

Enjoy the new M/H and have a great time in Fort william, Im up there in 3 weeks.

Regards Tom

PS Think we are gonna have a cold snap, and a chance of snow.

snow

thanks. i'm counting on snow. the more the better.
if only i could have linked up with the scottish meet.

Good luck with the new bus Geoff;), I,ve always fancied one of them old Hymers, dying to see it:rolleyes:, hopefully at whitehouse farm.
You be careful up in them thar hills:eek::D

good luck

Good luck with your new van. Treat her right and she'll give you years of service. I bet them old Hymers are better than the modern ones made to accountants costings.

Hopefully as Lenny says, see you at Whitehouse Farm.

oldy but goody

hi there. what a trip, cardiff to fort william. definate way to find out any niggles. she runs well and gave me about 35mpg on way up. it's such a luxury compared to my other ventures. it needs a few small jobs doing but nothing beyond me. mostly, just tlc.
just spent two days on the mountains and i'm wrecked. can't believe the things i've done and places i've been on just crampons and ice axe. got a great instructor though. don't know how my body is going to cope with three more days of it. i will see you all at the whitehouse meet and possibly bring kim and kids yet. time will tell.

mpg

If it gives 35 up to Scotland just think what it will give coming down to England?

Jon

pleased to hear all is well with your new to you bus, give it a bit of love and tenderness and you will have many a happy year out of her if looked after there is no reason why she shouldn't last for years what chassis is it on.
