The aire in the book St. Jean du Gard at the railway station is now closed there is a new private aire now at the other end of the village. The coords are. N44deg 06.069' E003deg 53.450'. The price is 13 euros for 24hrs, inc water, electric and wifi. It is a nice aire very quiet. Has individual bay and well lit at night.
Also, we jumped on the motorway at the Spanish Border heading towards Narbonne and pulled into a petrol station on the motorway (Avia). Aire de la palma. There is now there a new drop with water (I think electric). You have to have a token which you get from the garage, to our surprise it was free. The stop is quite a nice stop, just saying it may be worth jumping on the motorway for one stop for water. It is the last service station before Narbonne.
Hope this is useful. PJ

Just to clarify, having stayed there previously, I presume that the car park is still available for overnight parking. Is that so?

New Aire

Hi Chris,

Sorry, but no you can't stop there full stop now. Signs up saying nothing over ( I think ) 6 meters can park there at all. Shame because the village is right next to you, easy walking. We did think that 13 euros was dear but because at that time we had no solar panel we needed electric during the winter.
