After testing a new MPPT regulator and remote controller on my own van, I popped down to Kent to install the same but with two new 105Ah batteries and a 160W solar panel to my brothers Burstner van.
Should have been a straight forward fit, but Burstner, in their wisdom connect their batteries with a brown cable to negative and black to positive.
Thankfully it was just a 20A fuse that didn't like it on the eletroblock, and after swopping the cables round, everything seems to be working fine. It could have been worse.
Solar panel was kicking out 20.9v at the height of the sunny day on Saturday.
Photos show panel fitted but cables waiting for the trunking and final connection. Control panel info and battery set up showing the connecting cables of red and black, but the Burstner brown and black can also be seen.
