Looks good I've just signed up for their newsletter.

My brother who is a sparky made some throwaway comment about most TVs being 12V anyway, hence the black boxed on the power leads....... but I could well be wrong.

12v TV supply

Sharon most portable TV's are used via a 240 v to 12 v transformer / converter but be aware some TV's are very sensitive to the correct voltage and need to be run via a 12v limiter that restricts the input voltage to 12v when on hookup via the inboard charger it may be as high as 15v

The transformers that come with tellys like these hold the voltage at a steady 12volts because the tellys do not like fluctuations in voltage.

As Alf 1 says the output from your 12 volt sockets can go over 14 volts to nearly 15 volts and varies quite a bit.

Apparently Cello make an LED TV in various screen sizes specifically for the caravan/motorhome. It has all the usual connections, but in addition also has a built-in Satellite receiver. So if you're tight on space and want to reduce the number of cable connections. The prices are around £200. I haven't checked their site out so that's about all I know.
