Can anyone advise me,we bought a this second hand,I have read the instruction booklet 20 times,we are only getting the vehicle 12v lights to work if we leave the camper on tickover ,then try on vehicle battery with ignition off.
Obviously we are aware that when the camper is stood the vehicle battery level will discharge.
We tried to plug in on 240v mains to the house and turned the switsh to vehicle battery,we thought that this would trickle charge the vehicle battery.
When on 240v will the charger in the camper charge the habitation battery only,we read the instructions to say that this could be swithed from habitation to vehicle battery but not both together.Any advise appreciated.

Barry.
On hook up AutoSleepers will only charge 1 battery at a time either van or leisure by selecting the apropriate switch position,
you can normaly only have the 12v lighting on when the engine is off this is controlled by a relay if you turn the ignition on and start the engine the lights in the conversion should go off, if this is not the case the previous owner may have altered something or you could have a fault

Yep - what Alf said - my Trooper had a switch to charge either battery but not both. 12v cut off when the engine was started. Have you checked leisure battery volts? Check it with engine off and then on 240v to see if it's charging. Check the vehicle battery at the same time, maybe the switch is back to front...
