Need advice for Ireland visit

We're off to Ireland (Republic of) soon for a month or more and i wonder if any of the Irish folks on here might know of any stockists where we could change our Calor gas cylinder if we should need to. i know there's one in Miltown Malbay and lots in the North but we'll probably be around the Kerry area if we did run out....
Also, we've always found rubbish disposal a bit sticky (!?) as you're not supposed to put household rubbish in street litter bins and we end up loitering in a suspicious manner and putting bits in at a time (not helped by the fact that I did see a case of someone being fined vast amounts for putting tea bags etc in one!). Any tips very welcome. Can you take rubbish to a tip like you can over here?

Try this site for stockists Find A Retailer | Calor We have refillable gas bottles..makes life much easier as lots of garages these days sell LPG.
As for rubbish, well I'm afraid we're like you and just use litter bins small amounts at a time.
