Hi, I joined the caravan club and was hoping to book a pitch at the NEC show, but unfortunately I have left it to late, they only have Monday and the last Sunday available now, this doesn't fit in with my work. Does anyone know if there is a caravan site nearby that offers complimentary transport to the show please or can anyone recommend a site close by, then I will drive to the show, providing you are allowed to park a motorhome at the show in the public carpark. New to this hobby so have not attended this show before. Be grateful for any tips, hoping to visit Wednesday and Thursday.

You can park the Motorhome at the show for free.

Overnight wherever and yes you can take your van and park for free in the day time only parking area.

Chapel Lane, Caravan and Motorhome Club site ............... page 160 in the handbook.

15 - 20 minutes drive to the NEC and there is loads of parking when you get there just follow the signs.

Get there early, choose a good level end spot ( then you don`t get blocked in ) and have a brew and a bacon butty before you go in.

When i say early i mean really early, we get there for approx 08.00am - 08.15am ready for the 10.00am opening.

It fills up like you wouldn`t believe, it`s like a scene from Death Race 2000 / Whacky Races. they will be thundering in :scared:

Have a good show

This site is already full for the week the show is on, thanks

I usually stay at Hopwood services.

Not glamorous by any means, but it's only somewhere to sleep and has showers and a Starbucks. I'm easy to please :)

From memory it's about £15 a night, with just long enough a drive to the NEC to finish my coffee (think about 15 mins)

There is a C&CC THS at a rally field next to a 5 van site. Check on their website. I used it a couple of years ago and drove to the show car park early on the two days I went.

There is a POI at Hampton-in-Arden that we've used a number of times and it's fine.

C&CC sites at Kingsbury Water Park and Drayton Manor are both easy driving distance away.

We tried booking a site yesterday and really struggled. These two were both full. Finally got in at a CCC CL site, Log Home Farm - may still have a space if you're quick!
