Nearly finished

Well, after a long and vast project, I'm nearly finished. My 26 year old Mercedes Autotrail Apache has had an entirely new front new end with all new panels. As I put on a different thread, which I can't find now, when I took the wings off they were held on entirely by filler. I've welded all new steel work in so they now fit as they should, cut out all rust and welded plates over, put in new steps, new wheel arches, new wings, new front panel, grille, bonnet and revamped doors with new bottom skins. Now all newly resprayed and all that is left is to put back the headlights, indicators, air filter, windscreen washers etc.... which should only take a couple of hours at most.

The only problem is, now the front looks so nice, the back desperately needs a good wash and polish and when I last did that it nearly killed me!

It's been an interesting project as I've come across a lot of work that needed doing of which I was totally unaware, to be expected I guess on a vehicle of this age. Now this has been done, the inside was done last year and new wiring put in throughout I'm looking forward to getting even more use out of it than we did before.
