nearly crashed van

i was on my way home from wales, when i had to merge onto the chester bypass, there was a nissan micra in front and a black renault approaching along bypass, the slip road is fairly long but the micra was going at a slower speed so i manvoured out behind the renault at 65 mph. when all of a sudden the micra puts his right indicator on and proceeds to swing into my nearside causing me to pull into the outside lane missing a car then the back started wagging so horn blasting away the micra moved back i managed to regain control and slow down, why dont people use the slip roads like they should it could have turned nasty. also whilst i was touring wales between llanberris and nant perris there is a layby so we decided to pull in for lunch, there was a merc parked up and a long gap then a autosleeper rambler so i pulled in bettween then as the bloke in the autosleeper was sat in the back, as soon as i stopped he jumped into the driving seat just missing my front bumper shouting i had spoiled his view he then parked blocking the rear window of my van but next to the merc, my wife stopped me getting out to blast him. so i turned my van round drove along side opened my window and shouted "i am sorry i spoiled your view but i am doing it again" and parked in front of him for a minute then i drove off, didn't let it spoil my day.

Crikey, I bet you are nicely relaxed after your camping trip !

Take it easy eh. If other people can't drive or park properly that's not your problem ;) :)

it's happening too often now where people expect to just move straight onto a carriage way they can't seem to grasp the broken white lines mean give way, i ride a motorcycle and have noticed on my travels it is people of all ages, not just old or young drivers how many cars have you noticed that pelt along the outside lane then at the last minute swing across to leave the motorway. i am now at home chilling out and i am thinking of selling the van and going back to a caravan/tow car.

I have to admit I used to get really wound up by others poor driving which on reflection did result in me doing somethings which I am now a bit embarrased about if I'm honest...

I now use the roads with thr view that everyonr around me is an idiot who wants to kill themselves/their car so make sure they have enough space to do that without involving me and no that doesn't mean like I drive like my grand dad used to, far from it (I also have a heavily modified (mechanically not chav'd) Alfa)...

I guess what I'm saying is I'm agreeing with yozz, if others are gonna have accidents, let them and keep away :)

We commute from south yorkshire to Gt Manchester 3 times a week and the standard of driving in the different areas amasses me. In Yorkshire we drive fast, but let people in if they want to change lanes ect. In Gt Manchester the cars move a lot slower but nobody lets anyone in, get in the wrong lane and its just tough.
If I go to Manchester in a nice shiny car, I know I will get cut up, bullied when people want to cut in, but if I go in my loved but battered Toyota Avensis estate (which I only wash twice a year) then nobody dares to mess with me. A work mate has a tranny pickup with side bars, bull bars on the front and safe T bar on the back and he goes straight through the Manchester traffic like a knife through butter.
