Has anyone got any suggestions, locations, Grid Ref for Wild Camp locations on either the NC500 or around the NW Highlands.
Just trying to find places off the beaten track, lock/burn side locations and mountain views.
Im driving a Defender with a roof tent.

Any advice welcome

Pretty much anywhere you feel is not in the face of others. Just avoid that Autumn wind! Enjoy

Welcome along.

Before I had a camper, I drove a Citroen Dispatch with a rooftent. Mine was an Autohomes Columbus and was very comfortable and warm, even in -11 temperatures. I would love to have one again, but it wouldn't suit the wife unfortunately!

Applecross is a great place to visit and I don't think you would have any problems finding a place to park a Defender overnight.

We have a 6.5m motorhome and toured similar last summer (before School Holidays).

From memory most of the places we used would do you#

We did the 500 last August in a 7m MH and had no problems finding wilding spots.

Ps fuel gets expensive the further north you go, fill up before heading too far north.

Grab yourself a road atlas/os map and search for roads ending up at the sea with little or no habitation around....
Cross reference with Google earth and you'll find spots untainted by Internet popularity or Facebook fatigue....
