My next trip

In my bid to explore England, but also to avoid the hot spots I am looking at a September wander around the east coast area: Lincolnshire and Yorkshire and possibly Durham.
I will visit as many NT places as possible, No cities, but would welcome recommended places of interest.

Cragside (NT) is fascinating, especially for the engineering history. We could not do the 6 mile circular drive around the estate due to a height restriction, low arch. To explore the house and estate it's worth two days.
