My First POI Added!

Hi Folks,

I know many come to the forums for the banter and that's totally fine - I enjoy that myself - but the main reason I joined was the app. I played around with it during my free week and saw that there were quite a few POIs that don't appear on the more established apps so I signed up and paid my dues. As a noob I'm not in a position to lecture people but guys, we really should make an effort on this because it's a great resource for all of us.

We are full timers but have only just started our vanlife journey so have stayed quite close to home as I get used to driving it, and if things are going to break or fall off (the van or us!) I'd rather be in an area we're familiar with.

This is a favourite spot for us in West Cross, Swansea, even though it's not without its flaws (some traffic noise from about 6:30am) it's free and you can overnight so I've just added it. The view of Mumbles Head is literally a few yards away and you've also got sea views from your window. Takeaways and shops nearby and a great chippy.

Thanks for that. We could be there in 2 hours, so will have to remember it.
I can't remember, is the beach dog friendly there?

Yes, Sharon but as you can see it's very rocky and muddy. Looks lovely when the tide's in though. The beach is sandier towards the city centre, down by St Helens Rugby Ground. I think from there right up to Mumbles it's dog friendly even in Summer. In the other direction it's dog friendly in Winter only.
