I think it is a great combination, you can have a quick few days away with just the van then all the comfort and space when you take the Portafold for longer stays

They were my thoughts too, & the portafold is only around 300kg, so tows lovely

We had a portafold for a couple of years, dragged it behind Ali’s JBA, always reminded me of the smell of wet boat, at the time I was 6`5” and 22st so it was more like sleeping in a portaloo, but great fun all the same.

Haha, yep, I know what you mean, there's not much refinement to them is there ?, but all the same, when it's set up, as one big massive bed, it sure beats a rock & roll bed in a vw, with yer feet hung over the end !

That's the good thing thou, it only weighs about 300 kg, you don't even know it's there, the chap I bought it off towed it with a trike :drive:

Great rig that.

No problem with small / low powered towing vehicles - we used to tow one behind a Fiat Seicento no problem. Took it with us to the Dordogne when we moved there and also pulled it all the way from there to Falmouth and back for a wedding. Would hold 70mph all day on the French motorway but got a bit snaky (no stabiliser) on UK motorways.

Sold it when we bought the Estafette. Here it is behind a more sensible towcar:

Love those estafettes, seen a few advertised for sale over here of late, quite tempted , your portafold would have looked cool behind it
