Hi

One of the first things I'd like to do is move my leisure battery from under the drivers seat to under the dinette seat behind the passenger seat. I'm hoping this will allow me to but one or two new batteries and also have the solar connected to them via charge controller in the same space. I thought all I need to do is basically extend the cables - I was thinking of buying a positive/negative bus bar like the one pictured to connect all the existing wires and leave them under the drivers seat, and the using new cables attach to bus bar and then into new area and connect to battery (similar to the pic, but much neater). Does this sound like a sensible idea or am I missing something?

cheers

Sounds alright.

But....

lol.

If it makes it easier, you can connect the battery -ve to the chassis anywhere you like, and do the same with any of the existing ones.

I'd also want to have a fuse next to the battery in it's new location.

I'm in Bristol too if you want to meet up for a chat about whatever you're doing to the van.
