hi all i have an 03 movano with a maintenance history printout but have no service book , i can find on the printout a main dealer service for 18,36,54 and72 thousand mile.
its at 82 thousand at the moment and having a service done next week and was going to have cam belt done at same time if needed, but would this have been done on one off the main services ,if anyone can check in there service book it would be a great help or anywhere on line i can find a list at should have been done. or if it is possible to find out what would have been done
thanks andy

hearing that somebody had a beltchange wouldn't be good enough for me,and did they have the tensioner done.doesn't guarantee yours is done too, just change it then you can relax

Depending on the model it can be 72,000, 80,000, or 90,000. I think most of them are 72,000 or 5 years, whichever comes sooner.

its the older model 2.2dti the printout is from the fleet company that owned and leasted it to i think the local council where they are (or at least when i was in the area where it came from last year had the same livery on)

Andy,

Dont take the risk, if it breaks it will be bloody expensive, just get it changed and the tensioner at this service and you know its been done

DON'T TRUST RECOMMENDED INTERVALS!!
Have known too many belts/tensioners break just before the recommended time/mileage interval, that has resulted in catastrophic internal damge costing thousands!. Have always suggested to people 5yrs/50,000 miles, whichever is soonest. Always insist on a Cambelt kit, not just the belt alone as it's more likely a tensioner/pulley to fail than the belt iself. If you have doubt in the fact that the belt has been done and there is no proof in its replacement.............. don't risk it!!! A £200.00 to £400.00 cambelt job is cheaper than a £1000.00 to £2000.00 repair bill if it fails.

cam belt tool

Hi Andy
Ithink i still have the locking pin set for the early Movano diesel somewhere if your man wants to use it you can borrow it if you pay postage.
From what i can remember it was quite a straight forward job my lads used to do cam belt change and full service on a saturday morning
