Motorhomes around Brighton

hello,
I was wondering if I could get a little advice. I have been considering getting a motorhome to stay in around Brighton for a while and was wondering what the deal is with places to stay and how often I would have to move.
I am completely new to this and don't want to end up upsetting anyone or getting in trouble.
Any thoughts of how I should go about everything would much appreciated!!

Thanks!

Xx

There's lots of places up on the Downs (in writing that looks odd), down small lanes, a lot of the car parks had height barriers though.

We parked at Patcham without problems in 2007 - old info.

My view has always been that more than one night in the same spot is likely to bring unwanted attention, either from hoons or from the locals.

Check out the Sussex forum:

Sussex - Wild Camping for Motorhomes

I've done a fair few posts there. There's lots of tips about places such as Devil's Dyke area, Hove Park, Madeira Drive, Sheepcote Valley Area and other places.

In the town centre, with the parking restriction, you can use residents parking after 8.00pm. If you can find a parking place and be off before 9.00 am the next day nobody will be any the wiser. If you use town streets you have to change every night. In the Marina out of town area for example, Rebecca Drive, Wilson Road, around Lidels etc there are places where you could stay a couple of nights then move.

I would find about 15 spots around town and move every night or so. Then you wont be back for two weeks if you rotate.
