Damp
Good Luck Jeanette ..I really hope it is what you are looking for.:drive:
I like the lay out a lot and that always worked well for us out of the million trillion vans I'v had
I'm sure you will know as soon as you walk in if its damp, my bones usually feel the damp before my nose can smell it.
I'm keeping everything crossed for you
Thanks Jac that’s the same with me and the same as the one we went to see yesterday I could feel it even though he said it had been fixed, but they also still had all their stuff in to me if you’re going to sell you empty it and clean it out,he was still hoovering when we got there, any luck for you finding the one! Are you selling your wobble box? We don’t know what to do with ours yet!
Yes the caravan is going Jeanette ...Im not a natural tugger![]()
We will miss the comforts it gives ..but then again we miss the simplicity of van life.
Im with you on the emptying cleaning side of things if your selling your van ...clean it, declutter it.
Keep us posted on the outcome of the van your viewing![]()
Is there anybody here who has bought more than one Swift?
Hope you get lucky... But heed the advice.
Better safe than soaked.
]have a good stomp on the floor check for sqeaks and. Spongy floor, check the fridge and heating ,check the windows for cracks check operation of all opening windows and sky light's , check the electric control panel and its functions . in the cab check electric windows and mirror check all dash panel and warning light's, check brakes and clutch, check for exhaust smoke ,ask for service history ,Dose it come with any warranty or bought as seen, keep a contingency fund in your pocket as you will probably need to have some repairs .
Hopefully the van has been outside in all weathers for a fair while,
and taken out on rain days this will help show up damp issues. If kept
under cover for a lengthy period any any damp may well have dried
out enough as to not give meaningful readings on the damp meter.
The shower/whb area is worth giving extra special attention to for internal
leakage signs. A cracked shower tray in any van can be disastrous.
